Page thirty-six of the first red Ontario scrapbook features three of Montgomery's trousseau photos and fabric swatches from those same outfits. The various clippings indicate Montgomery's increasing involvement with her new Leaskdale home and role as minister's wife; minutes of the Canadian Women's Press Club show the continued importance of activities related to her writing. Notice the article about the niece of the Earl of Eglinton and the calling card of Mrs. Sam Sharpe. Lt.-Col. Sam Sharpe was to receive Montgomery's first vote and was to become a war hero.
