Prince Edward Island Scrapbooks
The inside back cover of the blue PEI scrapbook displays wedding photographs and images, the marriage notice for her Prince Albert, Saskatchewan friend Laura Pritchard, and several souvenir cut-outs and photographs. The printed caption "Mt. Edith Cavell, Jasper National Park" tells us that the photograph is from the 1930's, after the National Park Act; the mountain was named for Edith Cavell, British heroine of the First World War, who was executed by the Germans in 1915.
