Title THE|DAINTY CALENDAR|for|1894|presented by|The Youth's Companion.|BOSTON, MASS.
Artist/Maker Name
Description Calendar for the year 1894.
Narrative This Dainty Calendar was published by The Youth’s Companion magazine in 1894, Montgomery's twentieth year. The magazine was one of the first to send welcome payment for her work, with a $12 cheque for a poem in 1895. The Boston magazine would, by the end of Montgomery’s life, have published dozens of her stories and poems. Notice, on the inside of the calendar, that Montgomery has placed a dot over her happy days, but that her birthday, November 30, is not dotted.
