Narrative The Webb home in Cavendish, now known as Green Gables, became part of the Prince Edward Island National Park in 1937. Montgomery used the setting of the house for her 1908 novel Anne of Green Gables. After her 1911 marriage and move to Ontario, the Webb home became her second home during her vacations on the Island.
