Narrative L. M. Montgomery lived at the Macneill homestead from 1876 to 1911, where she wrote four novels and many short stories and poems. This apple tree is over 125 years old and stands near where the window to Montgomery's room would have been. As a child, Montgomery played in the orchard and named each individual tree.
