Object Name photograph
Object Type black and white
Artist/Maker Name Montgomery, L. M.
Description Black and white photograph of two girls walking along a path beneath a canopy of trees.
Narrative This marvellous photograph by Montgomery, set close to a coloured postcard of the same scene, shows the Lovers Walk (original for Lover's Lane?) of "The Den" in Kirriemuir, famous from Barrie's writing. Notice how Montgomery captures her favourite images and angle: a keyhole of light, a curving path, arching branches, and dramatic play of light and shadow.
